For the vast majority of people, we live what is called a “self-referential” life. That means that we see things almost solely from the perspective of “me”. This was true of Jesus’ disciples as well.
On more than one occasion, they argued amongst themselves, asking, “who will be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven,” seeking the highest place for themselves.
This sermon will discuss how Jesus responded to such questions and what the communion service teaches us about the topic.
